The Internet Man Of The Match/Season Award 1997-98
The form method of voting wasn't working for some reason (my inability and knowledge of computers) so just use the old system.
The Table below includes votes from Home League, FA Trophy, FA Cup, and Essex Senior Cup S/F and Final matches.
Pos | Last | Player | Pts | As can be seen from the table
above, Paul Cobb has come into his own for the second half of the
season. Interestingly enough when David Pratt's form went down slightly,
it coincided with the whole team losing it's way. Much can be gleened from the above chart, just spend a time studying it. Paul actually had 1 more Man of the Match than David. But David did miss 4 games at the start of the season. I think Cobb would have pulled it off within another match. but the result must be a good indication on how people felt at the time. That is the good thing about weekly votes against monthly as you don't get a chance to forget a performance. Thanks to everyone who voted, 659 votes were cast which I think was really good. David Pratt will not recieve a Trophy, but surely he must be proud to be the very FIRST Internet Man of the Season. If anybody has any comments please email me. |
